I think what I've been missing is

Someone to care about me. Not care for me, but to care about me.

To know that there is someone who dreams about me, fantasizes about me, wonders what I'm doing and if I'm alright.

I've never had that person. There's never been a person in my life that has been consumed by me.

I've been consumed by many people, but no one has ever felt the same for me.

I just want someone to actually BE in love with me.

It will never happen, but at least I've figured out what I have been missing.
